Museet for Fotokunst and Odense Filmværksted has entered into cooperation to put focus on experimenting films created by the city´s young film talents.
From June to September, the people of Odense can see the result of this cooperation when Museet for Fotokunst shows five experimenting films from Filmværkstedet.
The cooperation provides Odense Filmværksted with a long missed opportunity to screen their films for a large and broad audience and at the same time Museet for Fotokunst strengthens its profile as a museum which also gives high priority to moving pictures. And Odense will be able to enjoy a new initiative offering an energy boost to the local art scene.
Odense Filmværksted´s task is to discover and develop young film talents who produce fiction, documentaries and experimenting films. Contemporary photography and video are some of Museet for Fotokunst´s top priorities and through this they support young talents exploring new territories. Both institutions are very happy about the cooperation and the students from Filmværkstedet can look forward to challenging themselves when they have to confront a bigger audience with their films.
