Space allows for expression and creates a framework for our lives. The artist group AVPD has been working with space as an artwork since the 1990s. Their latest work, Shift, consists of black tinted, semi-transparent curtains that are moved by sensors. This creates a maze without beginning and without end; a space in constant change. But what happens to our experience of space and our senses when the physical environment suddenly becomes fluid and changes shape around us?
