As part of the national biennale for photography, Brandts presents collections from more than 20 photographers from the world’s five rapidly emerging national economies – also known as the BRICS countries. Under the theme Cities and Memory, Brazilian, Russian, Indian, Chinese and South African photographers provide an insight in to the transformations taking place within their countries, one consequence of which is the explosive urbanisation.

In this collaboration between Fotografisk Center in Copenhagen, Galleri Image in Aarhus and Brandts in Odense, the biennale will also include a symposium, workshops and other participatory events.
